This is a pic of Charlie Greenway (whom I work with) with Sheriff Buford Pusser of McNairy Co. Tennessee. The pic was taken approx. 3 weeks before the death of Sheriff Pusser, at the Tri-Cities Regional Airport."Walking Tall" was the first 'R' rated movie that I ever saw. I was about 8 or 9 years old, and I went with my parents to see it. I was totally blown away by it, and I will remember that night for the rest of my life. I still love the movie, and the story behind it. I would have given anything to have met Sheriff Pusser.
Charlie got to meet the man. I got to check out his picture. I wish that I could've met him, before he was killed.

I got so tickled tonight. We had to go in on our day off for First Responder training. All of us guys on Night Shift have to attend. It kinda sucks, but our instructor is Jason Powell, who I worked with at 9-1-1, when we both worked there part time. Jason is now a Lieutenant with the Johnson City Fire Dept. and a Paramedic. Jason is a good guy. Anyway, we had to be there at 16:00, on a day off. We got out tonight at 21:20.
Anyway the following story is so funny (to me). It might be one of those deals, that if you weren't there, you won't get it. On the ride home, T.L. asked me if I ever had to give extended CPR to anyone while I was at the Sheriff's Dept. I replied that I hadn't (luck). He started telling me this story of a call he responded to, where he had to assist a paramedic giving CPR to a big, fat guy who was in Cardiac Arrest. He told me how they had dragged him off the bed into the floor, while the paramedic tried to restore the airway, and was giving him instructions on how to perform chest compressions. Anyway, T.L. had told me this story before, and I asked him - "Didn't you tell me before that you thought you had broke the guys ribs, while doing compressions?". And he was, like, yeah, that's the one. Then, I asked him, "Didn't you tell me that the guy died?".
He said "Yeah, the guy didn't make it". I about fell over, laughing. I wasn't laughing that the guy died, but just the way he said the guy didn't make it. Fucking Hilarious.
Anyway, I thought it was funny, and if u have a twisted sense of humor, and know T.L., you will too.
More later.

Evidently, tickets for the Vols Spring Game (the Orange & White Game) are gonna be limited due to Neyland Stadium renovations. Fan interest is at an all time high, due to our new 'Dream Team' staff. Anyway, me and T.L. are gonna go to the game, being that it is on our weekend off. I ordered our tickets today from UTSports.com. This is the first time in memory that I don't trust being able to get tix at the gate. Anyway, I am pumped and looking forward to the game.
